During A Lucid Dream You Can Often Control Your Dream.

I expect all of you to aware of fact that we all spend 1/3 of our life in sleeping. The life expectancy at birth of the world is 67.2 years(well depends up on the region where you live),which exactly means we spend 22.4 years of our life in sleeping and when we are talking about sleep how could we miss dreaming?.lets come to it.

The average person has about 3 to 5 dreams per night, but some may have up to 7 dreams in one night. The dreams tend to last longer as the night progresses. During a full 8-hour night sleep, two hours of it is spent dreaming.which means we spend daily 25% of our daily sleep span in to dreaming ,which is calculated to be 5.6 years of dreaming in our whole life span.huh.. big numbers, isn't it?

So question is that what do you do in your 5.6 years of dreaming span? what are you dreaming? A huge Dinosaur chasing you in your dream..
Lucid Dream
you are running real hard and all of sudden you fall ,which literally wakes you up!
and then you realise ooh lord jesus thank you for saving me,it was just a dream..sorry for such vivid imagination but i often dream of it :P

Lets get back to our dream, so do you remember your dream? let me tell you one more interesting fact about dream,no matter how hard you try you can never remember the beginning of your dream, also some people don't even remember their dream.well People are more likely to remember the dream if they are awakened during the REM phase, now you must be thinking now what is that REM?

Lucid Dream
REM is  rapid-eye movement,Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleepwhen brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. REM sleep is revealed by continuous movements of the eyes during sleep. At times, dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. However, these dreams tend to be much less vivid or memorable.

Did i mention vivid? lets get more deeper..

Lucid Dream

Look what i have found?

"LUCID DREAM"

A lucid dream is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming. In a lucid dream, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over their participation within the dream or be able to manipulate their imaginary experiences in the dream environment.Lucid dreams can be realistic and vivid.

Lucid Dream
It is shown that there are higher amounts of beta-1 frequency band (1319 Hz) experienced by lucid dreamers, hence there is an increased amount of activity in the parietal lobes making lucid dreaming a conscious process.(Wiki)

So it would not be wrong to mention that you can fly like a superman, you can swim like a fish or all other vulgar thing you wanna imagine (do not want to mention it,i hope you understood). Its just like 360-degree vision or existing in two places at the same time.because it all takes places in your mind, the dream world has no physical laws. As a result, anything you can conceive of comes true. You can control your dreams.check out this video to get better contrast on Lucid dream..

Is Lucid Dreaming Scientifically Proven?

In 1975, lucid dreaming was scientifically proven in the laboratory for the first time. The British parapsychologist Keith Hearne recorded a set of pre-determined eye movements from his volunteer, Alan Worsley, who was in a lucid dream.

Hearne's results were not widely distributed. The first peer-reviewed article was published some years later by Stephen LaBerge at Stanford University, who had independently developed a similar technique as part of his doctoral dissertation.During the 1980s, further scientific evidence to confirm the existence of lucid dreaming was produced as lucid dreamers were able to demonstrate to researchers that they were consciously aware of being in a dream state (again, primarily using eye movement signals). Additionally, techniques were developed that have been experimentally proven to enhance the likelihood of achieving this state.(wiki)

According to this website: World Of Lucid Dreaming which i found very interesting.

In lucid dream you can co-create the dream by willfully performing any desired action. You can consciously ask any question or give any command and your subconscious dreaming self will respond. For instance:
What is my ideal career?Where shall I live in the world? How can I become wealthy? What is the purpose of my life?Show me my greatest fantasy!Show me myself in 10 years!
The answers may surprise you... and may be spoken directly from a dream character, written in the sky, or beamed telepathically into your mind.
We all have the potential to lucid dream - but only a small fraction of people learn how to harness the ability and use it on a regular basis. Lucid dreaming is not hard, but it does require your commitment.

While some people can control their dreams naturally, most people must invest time and energy to attain that breakthrough moment when they become lucid in dreams.so undoubtedly it will be a very enjoyable experience to have a Lucid Dream :)

So What Would You Firstly Dream If You Become Lucid Dreamer?
