An investigation into the purported existence of extra-dimensional atmospheric creatures known as Rods.
"Rods" (sometimes known as "skyfish" or "solar entities") is a term used in cryptozoology, ufology, and outdoor photography to refer to elongated artifacts in the form of light-rods produced by cameras. Videos of rod-shaped objects moving quickly through the air were claimed by some ufologists and cryptozoologists to be alien life forms, "extradimensional" creatures, or very small UFOs.
In 2012, the Malaysian independent newspaper Daily Express reported that a British "entrepreneur and avid traveller" named as "Matthew Lazenby @ Jigger" had recently "discovered" rods in a cave in Sabah. The "flying rods" were said to be a "mysterious insect-like creature" living in the cave. Lazenby explained that "We don't even know if they were an insect specie [sic] or creature of some sort that holds an element of intelligence that interacts with other entities or animal species", but he intended to "capture" the rods to find out. The newspaper reported that rods have been unexplained both physically and scientifically
