A Pea Found Sprouting in a Man�s Lung.

This bizarre incident took place at Cape Cod Hospital when doctors found a pea plant growing in a man�s lung. 75 year old Ron Sveden, from Brewster Massachusetts, was already fighting emphysema when his health deteriorated further. Doctors had told him that they had discovered a growth sprouting in his lung which at first seemed to be Lung Cancer. After weeks of test he came across the greatest surprise of his life. It was revealed that he did not have Cancer but it was a pea plant that had sprouted after being swallowed the wrong way. He then had a surgery to get the plant removed.

Ron was told that he had a pea seed in his lung that had split and had sprouted. It was probably about half an inch which is a pretty big thing. Ron said: ��whether this would have gone full-term and I'd be working for the Jolly Green Giant, I don't know. But, I think the thing that finally dawned on me is that it wasn�t the Cancer�. His relieved wife even added that �God has such a sense of humour. I mean it could have been just nothing, but it had to be a pea, and it had to be sprouting.�

The hospital staff humorously added peas to one of his first meals in the hospital after the surgery which he ate happily. His friends, too, gave him gifts of pea pods and canned peas when he returned home.

Earlier another incident took place where a 28 year old named Artyom Sidorkin from Russia was assumed to have Cancer but later the test results revealed that it was actually a 5 centimetre fir tree growing in his lungs which had to be removed by surgery.
